Anisoprint (Shanghai, China) announces a number of current developments. The developer of continuous fiber 3D printing technology has officially moved its headquarters to China, but remains a global company and plans to open locations in Europe and the US. Coinciding with these changes, Ryan Liu has become Anisoprint’s new CEO, working closely with Fedor Antonov, now CTO.
Anisoprint has experienced rapid growth. The company closed a Series A financing round in July 2023 and is working on the next round of financing, which is expected to close in the spring of this year and is expected to raise more than 2.5 times more funds than the previous round.
The company’s manufacturing developments, which were also relocated to China, continued without interruption. The plan is to deliver 40 continuous fiber Composer 3D printers from Anisoprint per month – the first batch was delivered before the beginning of 2024 – and a delivery of 10 Prom IS 500 industrial printers is ready. Anisoprint plans to eventually open a new 8,000 square meter manufacturing facility in Suzhou
In 2020, CEO Ryan Liu began working with Anisoprint as an agent. Within two years, the company started its business in the Chinese market from scratch and achieved 400% sales growth in 2022. This helped Anisoprint quickly build domestic brand awareness and distribution network, allowing the team to locate the first batch of 3D printers.
Liu joined the Anisoprint team in 2023 and led the founding of the China-based company and the construction of its facility.
“When Fedor and Mikhail arrived in China last year, our first priority was to find a location. “Local governments in China are competing fiercely for new companies and technologies,” explains Liu. “Several local governments offered us incentives, but there was always something missing and we kept looking. This happened before our long-time partner and friend Dr. Xiaofan Luo, CEO of 3D printing materials manufacturer Polymaker, introduced us to the government of the industrial zone where Polymaker is located. And it was a perfect fit!” Liu points out that in addition to its close proximity to Shanghai, the chosen location is also in a community of other 3D printing companies such as Raise3D, Rayshape, Polymaker, Helio Additive and others.

“This new facility will allow us to increase production across our entire product line, including our Composer A4 and A3, Prom IS 500, a new generation of desktop aniso printers called Composer Nova, as well as a new composite fiber production line with expanded capacity,” says Liu. “Our research and development laboratories will be located on the upper floors of the building.”
In addition, Anisoprint is hiring additional staff who will focus on new material profiles and new materials for a new machine and will work on Aura 3 – adding topology optimization features, integrating Aura Connect and more.
“I don’t know of any other approach to mastering something new than hard work and learning together with experienced colleagues. Yes, the new team will make mistakes and learn from them. Yes, there will not be an instant result because it takes time,” reflects Fedor Antonov, CTO of Anisoprint. “We all work together, new team and old team, in different roles. This means you will take on the role of an application engineer and support engineer for a specific period of time, working with your experienced colleagues.”
