QUESNEL, BC – A search warrant led to the seizure of manufactured weapons and firearm parts north of Quesnel.

On Thursday (Feb. 15) around 7:30 p.m., police searched a property in the 4000 block of Ten Mile Lake Road, where officers seized 3D printers and other supplies used to make weapons, according to Quesnel RCMP.

“It is illegal to manufacture firearms and to possess or access computer data that can be used with a 3D printer to manufacture firearms,” Sgt. Clay Kronebusch says. “These manufactured firearms can pose a grave danger to the public and police.”

A 26-year-old man was arrested but has since been released. RCMP say the results of the investigation will be forwarded to the British Columbia Crown Prosecution Service to determine appropriate charges.
