3D printers are becoming increasingly popular. A few years ago they were only to be found in industry and science, but today they can also be found in private households. One company that has been instrumental in bringing them into the mainstream is QIDI Technology. The manufacturer of 3D printers, founded in 2014, produces 50,000 models a year and accordingly has extensive experience. With the QIDI Max3 and QIDI Plus3, the company is now introducing two new models. Let’s take a closer look at them.
QIDI Max3 – Industrial quality for the home
You don’t want to make any compromises when it comes to your hobby? Then the QIDI Max3 is the 3D printer of your choice. This high-speed printer scores with maximum print size and is even suitable for use in the industrial sector. The print size of 325 x 325 x 315 mm ensures that you can also create large-format works of art here. A controlled temperature chamber including a drying chamber ensures that quick results are conjured up. Accuracy also plays a major role here. For example, the improved straightness of the surface is said to ensure that the error deviation is reduced by 60%. This not only leads to very good printing results, but also ensures low maintenance and a long service life.

Even when switched off, the Max 3 makes a good impression. For example, QIDI gives its high-quality 3D printer an all-metal frame. Reinforced with metal crossbars on the underside, it is extremely stable. So you don’t have to be afraid of deformation. Constipation is also not a problem. The new cooling system takes care of that. It also scores with an ultra-fast printing process. 600 mm/s should be possible with an acceleration of 20,000 mm/s. The high speed is no coincidence. The revised processor now comes with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. In addition, the housing has been perfected for higher speeds.

By the way, compared to its predecessor, QIDI also wants to have implemented a new automatic leveling function. The other features are also very good to read. You will receive a chamber circulation fan with an activated carbon air filter. In addition, the HF pressure plate can be bent and is therefore optimally protected against damage. The new software should offer a high level of user comfort. Comfort should be the top priority when unpacking. The manufacturer promises quick installation and problem-free commissioning. After all, the printer is fully assembled at the factory.
Powerful thermal control
The QIDI Max3 can reach a maximum extruder temperature of 350°C, a hot bed temperature of 120°C and a chamber temperature of 65°C. In combination with the selection of high-quality materials, this not only ensures great printing results. In addition, you can be sure that you will enjoy the device for many years to come. This is ensured in particular by the two types of hot ends. While there is hardened steel on the one hand, there is a copper alloy on the other. To prevent clogging in the process, QIDI installs a brand new cooling system.
Ahead of the competition in many disciplines
Given the fairly large selection of 3D printers on the market, it is not that easy to decide on the right model. A comparison of the technical data can be helpful. And here the QIDI Max3 has the edge in many respects. This starts with the print size of 325 x 325 x 315 mm, which is clearly superior to many of its competitors. Even with the print speed of 600 mm/s, few models available on the mass market can match it. In addition, the high-quality metal frame ensures a pleasant durability. Thanks to the effective temperature control, high-performance materials can be processed very well.
QIDI Plus3 – Can it be a little smaller?
The Plus 3 comes with a slightly smaller, but still very large print format. It measures 280 x 280 x 270 mm. In addition, the Plus model offers many highlights of the Max version. These include the controlled temperature chamber and the drying chamber.

In addition, QIDI also uses an all-metal frame here, which allows users to achieve ultra-fast printing results. Technical data such as a printing speed of 600 mm/s and an acceleration of 20,000 mm/s underline this.
price and availability
You can now buy both 3D printers from QIDI official website. For the QIDI Max3 you currently only pay 1,049.00 euros instead of the recommended retail price of 1,399.00 euros. The slightly smaller Plus model is significantly cheaper. For the QIDI Plus3 you currently only pay 749.00 euros instead of 1,099.00 euros.
