Stratasys introduces compact, multi-material 3D printer for dental laboratories

3d printing

Stratasys Ltd. unveiled the J5 DentaJet, a 3D printer that the company claims combines the efficiency of 3D printing with the realism and precision of its PolyJet additive manufacturing system.

Technicians can load mixed trays of dental parts with the J5, the only multi-material dental 3D printer on the market. The 3D printer can produce at least five times more dental parts on a single mixed compartment than traditional 3D printers, Stratasys reports, but it only takes up 4.6 square feet of floor space.

Simultaneously with the introduction of the printer, the manufacturer has made available a full range of resins tailored to the needs of the dental industry.
