Application
PolySupport is a breakaway support material which can be removed easily. It’s advantage over dissolvable support is that its faster to remove and requires no tools or equipment. For geometric overhangs such as boxes, architectural models or brackets, PolySupport will offer a better experience than dissolvable support.

PolySupport — Support material for 3D printing filament
Support the model very well:
PLA based material from Polymaker’s portfolio.
Generally support the model depending on its geometry:
PC, PVB & TPU based material from Polymaker’s portfolio.
Open Support
Open support: Support that does not enclose any portion of the model. Open support can usually be removed in a single piece.
Support density: Since open support can be removed in a single piece, we recommend a high support density (40% or more) with 2 layers of solid interface to obtained better surface finish. Threshold overhang angle: Most 3D printers can print overhang angles up to 45˚ , so it is recommended that the threshold overhang angle be set at 45˚. Support infill pattern: For open support, since the support structure can be removed relatively easily, perpendicular infill is generally recommended.
Closed Support
Closed support: Support that encloses some portion of the model. In this case the support must be broken apart and separated in order to be removed from the finished part.
Support density: It is recommended that a support density in the range of 15% – 30% is used for closed support for easy removal. Threshold overhang angle: similar with open support, a threshold overhang angle of 45˚ is generally recommended. Support infill pattern : It is recommended that the infill always be parallel for closed support to better break it away

Break Away Support Material for PLA: PolySupport is a support filament designed for models that need support. It can be easily and mechanically removed, making it a better choice than dissolvable supports for geometric designs like boxes, architectural models, or brackets. PolySupport allows for faster and easier removal compared to dissolvable options.
Tangle-Free & Moisture-Free: Polymaker PolySupport filament is carefully wound to prevent tangling, dried, and vacuum-sealed in a resealable ziplock bag with desiccant. Always hold the filament tip to avoid nodes, and use the spool holes to aid in preventing tangling.
Printing Settings: Nozzle: 220°C – 230°C, Bed: 25°C – 60°C, Speed: 20mm/s – 40mm/s.
Cardboard Spool: Now in upgraded 3.0 packaging with a fully recycled cardboard spool and box.
Cardboard Spool with Enhanced Hard Edge: Panchroma 3D printer filament is packaged in upgraded, fully recycled cardboard spools and boxes. The reinforced edge prevents dust from fraying and protects against deformation and delamination.
