What types of filaments can SpacePi X4 dry?

Space Pi X4 supports drying common filaments like PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PET, PA, PAHT, PC, PVA, PP, TPU, and their variations. Materials requiring >85°C need extended drying.

Can I use 3kg or 5kg spools?

As long as the spool diameter is ≤200mm, width ≤150mm, and filament diameter is 1.75mm or 2.85mm.

Can I dry filament while printing?

We recommend drying the filament thoroughly before printing. Drying time varies by material—refer to the user manual or the manufacturer’s guidelines. Once dried, you can feed the filament to your printer using a 4mm PTFE tube.

Can I use CFS and SpacePi X4 together?

We suggest drying filament fully in SpacePi X4 before transferring it to CFS for printing. While CFS is in use, you can pre-dry and store the next batch in SpacePi X4, improving workflow efficiency without occupying CFS resources.

Can I store filament in Space Pi X4 when it’s not drying?

Absolutely! Space Pi X4 functions as a sealed storage unit, keeping filaments dry even when not actively heating. Its airtight design and built-in desiccant help maintain low humidity for long-term filament protection.

Dual independent heating chambers: The Creality Space PI X4 filament dryer uses Creality’s Space Dryer 4.0 technology, which can process two materials at the same time, setting separate temperatures (45-85°C) and duration(0-48h) for each heating chamber. It is ideal for multi-material 3D printing projects, or feeding 4 printers at the same time, and can accommodate up to 4 spools.
Fast and even dehumidification: 200W+200W independent PTC heaters and 360° circulating hot air quickly heat the filament to 85℃. Moisture is expelled through one-way valves to prevent reabsorption. Compared with standard filament dryer box, the X4 dry box dehumidifies 30% faster. Effectively eliminate moisture to prevent filament brittleness, stringing and clogging, thereby improving 3D printing quality.
Universal Compatibility: The Creality 4 spool drying box is compatible with 1.75mm and 2.85mm 3d printer filaments. Constant temperature adjustable in the range of 45℃-85℃ and can be used with a variety of common filaments including PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, Nylon, PLA-CF, PA-CF, and ASA. PRO TIP: For engineering grade filaments that require >85℃, simply extend the drying time.
Energy-Efficient Single Chamber Mode: The two heating chambers allow single-chamber operation. Compared to ordinary large-capacity drying boxes, when drying 1/2kg of filament, you can use just one chamber, which reduces energy consumption by 40% and avoids power waste.
Easy to Use: The 3.2-inch LCD touchscreen with User-Friendly EDry UI enables effortless drying control. Set/save custom drying profiles(temperature & duration) for different filaments.
