Raise3D launches its first resin 3D printer

As the world of additive manufacturing gathers for Formnext 2023 in Frankfurt, it is no surprise that many companies are taking this opportunity to showcase their latest and most innovative products. The annual event brings together industry players large and small from around the world and Shanghai-based Raise3D took the opportunity to unveil the launch of its first resin 3D printer, the DF2 Solution, marking its first foray into the resin industry. 3D printer market.

Raise3D is known for its range of industrial grade FFF printers with an emphasis on high performance. With its new DF2 solution, the company enters Digital Light Processing (DLP) resin 3D printing and strives to keep its performance standards high. The company cited the development of a resin 3D printer as a way to provide more options for customer applications, including some situations where the two technologies, FFF and DLP, could be used in combination to achieve better results.

The DF2 can print with a variety of materials

“Our goal has always been to make resin printing for production hassle-free, with unmatched repeatability, unparalleled quality and remarkable speed. We are proud to have taken a solid step in this direction with the DF2 solution,” said Edward Feng, CEO of Raise3D. As part of this solid step towards entering the resin 3D printing market, the company made the conscious decision to develop a DLP 3D printer as the technology can provide its users with an overall balance of accuracy, speed and durability.

The DF2 solution is designed for ease of use, efficiency and quality in prototyping and small-batch production. This is achieved in part by the fully integrated package, which represents the “solution” part of the name. The combined solution suite consists of the DF2 printer, the DF Wash automatic cleaner, the DF Cure advanced curing station and an automatic filling station. Automation and minimal interaction are some of the main pillars of the DF2 solution, with a smart build plate, automatic material recognition and many automated features to assist the user with post-processing and cleaning. The quality of the print is also highly valued, as the DF2 has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a pixel of 78.5 μm with a state-of-the-art LED light engine optimized for precise DLP printing. The company also announces the launch of an Open Resin program, allowing the selection of a wide range of available resins from various manufacturers.

Following Raise3D’s announcement, the DF2 solution is now available for pre-sale. Early bird discounts are available for orders placed within the month of November. Raise3D has announced that it expects delivery in the first quarter of 2024. In the meantime, the team is also presenting the DF2 solution live at Formnext at their stand in Hall 12.1, Booth D-11, where visitors can see their new machine first hand.
